Laura Bailey is in her 23rd year in education and proudly serves as principal of Beavercreek High School. She assumed the role in fall 2025 after serving as an assistant principal at Beavercreek High School since the 2017–2018 school year.

Prior to joining Beavercreek City Schools, Laura served as an assistant principal at Colerain High School and began her career as an eighth-grade mathematics teacher in Lebanon City Schools. Throughout her career, she has held a variety of leadership roles focused on student achievement, instructional excellence, and school improvement.

Laura earned a Master of Educational Leadership from Miami University and a Master of Education in Reading from Bowling Green State University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Education in Middle Childhood Mathematics and Science from Bowling Green State University.

Laura believes students thrive in a safe, supportive environment built on strong relationships, high expectations, and meaningful opportunities for growth. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family, friends, and her Doberman, Kratos.

Dear Beavercreek High School Families,

Dear Beavercreek High School Families,

Welcome to Beavercreek High School! My name is Laura Bailey and it is truly an honor to serve as your principal; I am excited to partner with you as we begin this important chapter in your student’s educational journey.

At Beavercreek High School, our mission is to prepare students for success beyond graduation—whether their path leads to college, a career, military service, or other meaningful opportunities. Every day, we strive to ensure that academic growth is just as important as guiding our students to become confident, globally aware young adults with optimism and resiliency for what lies ahead.

We are committed to challenging students to reach their highest potential while also providing a safe and supportive environment where they feel comfortable taking risks, learning from failure, and growing into adulthood. High school is a time of discovery, and we encourage students to stretch themselves academically, creatively, and personally as they develop the skills and mindset needed for lifelong success.

Families play a vital role in this process. Your support, encouragement, and partnership are essential to your student’s growth, and we value the strong connections we build with our families. When schools and families work together, students are best positioned to succeed.

I look forward to getting to know you and your student throughout their years of high school. Please know that our staff is here to support, guide, and inspire every Beavercreek High School student. I am joined by an administrative team consisting of three assistant principals who split the student body alphabetically; Kate Ratliff (A-G), Jason Scott (H-O), and Scott Jacobs (P-Z). In addition, we are fortunate to have six school counselors, multiple social workers, school based mental health therapists, school psychologists, MFLAC to support our military-connected students, and a dedicated Special Education Supervisor at Beavercreek High School.

Together, we will make this a positive, rewarding, and memorable experience. Welcome to the Beavercreek High School community!

WE ARE Beavercreek.

Warm Regards,
Laura Bailey
