New Security Procedures at BHS

Hello Beavercreek Families,

The Beavercreek City School District has an obligation to maintain a secure learning environment in all of our school buildings. This district utilizes a comprehensive Safety Plan, deemed compliant by Ohio Homeland Security, detailing the actions our district will take, and protocols we will follow, when faced with a threat or hazard. The plan also dictates we follow practical steps on a daily basis in the name of student safety.

We want you to know that starting Monday, January 6th, Beavercreek High School will require all people entering the building intending to interact with our students in any manner will be required to show an acceptable form of identification, which is any current, government-issued card or document that includes a photo of the person of issuance. After a valid photo ID is presented, visitors will have the opportunity to sign in at the front desk and given a visitor’s pass. This pass must be visibly displayed during the entire visit to Beavercreek High School.

This safety procedure will be strictly followed and enforced during school hours. We understand that unique situations may occur due to unforeseen circumstances and they will be addressed by building administration.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter. Please spend time with your loved ones over the Winter Break and enjoy the spirit of the season. The entire high school staff looks forward to a new year filled with more student success and achievement.

Respectfully,

Laura Bailey

Assistant Principal
